Hello and welcome to this garden, to this little piece of my soul. My name is Uriel and I am a London-born Jewish shaman trained in occultism since my sixties childhood. For the last fourty years or so, I have both studied and practiced the ancient craft of soul healing through the mediums of art, psychotherapy, magic and loving kinship. My own essentially gnostic path was built upon the foundation of what could be characterised as an out of body experience whilst still a baby, a state in which I awoke to what I can only describe as an eternal ‘self’ existing quite beyond the boundaries of time, gazing back at ‘me’ from the other side of the mirror.

From such a root began a lifetime of walking between the worIds; of following the path of the wounded healer; of striving my best to ‘look to the mountain top’, as a Tewa Elder once put it; of seeking to both understand and serve the miracle that is Love. The crowning  experience of this life (thus far) occured when my ancestors in the dreamtime guided me to perform an initiation ritual whose purpose was to petition for my soul to return in it's fullness. (Be careful what you ask for!) The wonder of what I experienced that blessed Easter dawn finds full expression in my book : ‘The Garden Where Four Rivers Flow’, a book which this website acts as a gateway into. As for these 'Songs from the Garden’, I truly hope you find them to be good medicine for your heart, mind and soul.
